America's Best High Schools 2008

Click here for more information about Grafton High School!

Grafton High School was recently awarded a silver medal by U.S. News and World Report in the 2008 America’s Best High Schools search. After analyzing 2005-06 data from18,970 public high schools in 40 states, US News named its top 100 schools. These schools (only three from Virginia) were awarded a gold medal. After the top 100 schools nationwide were identified, US News awarded Silver Medals to an additional 405 high schools. GHS was one of only eight high schools in Virginia awarded a silver medal based on student performance on state reading and math tests and on “college readiness”, which was determined by student participation and performance on Advanced Placement exams. Congratulations to GHS students and staff, for once again demonstrating that Grafton is one of the best schools in the country!
