Morning Drop-off Procedures in Grafton Bethel’s back parking lot You may
have noticed that a tall lady (the principal) has been standing at the
crosswalk collecting data. Over the past three mornings, an average of
60 cars moved through in about 10 minute’s time. Approximately 80
students arrive on a daily basis. 22 plus students use the crosswalk or
walk to school. On rainy days, that number increases. Listed below are
some reminders when using the GBE carline in the mornings:
• Use only one lane and stay in line if you are dropping off your child.
Four
stations are being used for the car door greeters to come and greet your
child/ren. Use the first two driveways in the parking lot if you are not
dropping off your child. Do not block driveways.
• If your child is using the crosswalk, please park your vehicle in a
parking space.
Do not pull up to the crosswalk and drop your child off. Parents/adults
need to escort their child/ren to the crosswalk area.
• Please exit cautiously and be aware that there are small children and
parents who
are crossing the parking lot, heading to the back of the cafeteria for
the Headstart program. Thanks for your patience and safety when using
the carline. These procedures will also be shared with the Headstart
parents to ensure the safety of ALL the children in this area in the
morning.

GBE Breakfast Club
In effort to get our breakfast eating students to class a little
earlier, we have decided to start a “GBE Breakfast Club” beginning
Wednesday, October 8, 2008.
On Tuesday, October 7th at breakfast, we will give our students that
regularly eat breakfast a bright green “Breakfast Club” hang tag for
their backpacks. This will be their official pass to get off of the bus
early and proceed directly to the cafeteria for breakfast for the
remainder of the school year.
Then on Wednesday, we will officially begin our Breakfast Club program.
Students with the hang tag will be allowed to exit the bus beginning as
early as 8:15 a.m. daily. Mrs. McMillion or Mrs. Wesley will be there to
greet them. Students that are not regular participating members of the
breakfast club will need to bring a note from home in order to get their
official breakfast club bus pass.
Thank you in advance Parents for helping to make this program a success.
