A little about me....

GO
PATRIOTS!!!!
take us to the bowl baby!
I'm
a native of York
County
and even grew up in the York
County
school system. I went to Seaford Elementary, Yorktown Midlle and graduated
from York High School (GO FALCONS!!!) I had a great time working with the football
team, cross country team, singing in the jazz ensemble and even playing in the
drum line for a short time.
I received my bachelor's degree from the University
of Mary Washington
in Fredericksburg, graduationg in 2005. I majored in biology but studied all kinds
of neat things like entomology and genetics! I then went on to get my teaching
license from Old
Dominion University.
Before I decided to teach, I spent some time working in a lab doing water toxicity
testing. This job got me extremely interested in environmental issues as our job
decided whether or not companies met EPA regulations for dumping into our waterways.
Basically, making sure that the water wouldn't hurt the local wildlife.
Once I left there, I taught high school science at Enterprise
Academy. Although I very much enjoyed my time there, I
couldn’t resist the opportunity to come back home to York
County!
This is my first year at Grafton Middle and so far I absolutely love it!!
Oh yeah, and if you couldn't tell, I'm a
big sports fan.... I'm all about some Patriots and my Red Sox!
Love me some RED SOX!
