The Middle School English and Math Academy is designed for students enrolled in grades 6-8 who have been identified as needing academic support in the areas of English: reading & writing and mathematics. Students are eligible for the Middle School Summer Academy based on test results (Stanford and Standards of Learning Tests), academic performance, and teacher/administrator recommendation. There is no fee for the academy for students who qualify through school recommendation. Parents who wish to enroll their child in this academy must contact their child's guidance counselor to complete the online registration.
Dates/Time/Location
The Middle School Science Academy provides students with instruction based on the Standards of Learning for each grade level. The academy will include direct teacher instruction, lab activities, data analysis and projects. Students will be given the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the objectives at the appropriate grade level.
