Fall Still Life
still life

Fourth and Fifth grades explored the differences between a Still Life and a Landscape. Our focus for both grades was "Training the eye to see," breaking objects within our Still Life into shapes (cone, cylinder and sphere) and blending.

Fourth grade students worked with chalk pastels and learned how professional artists use a fixative to make the chalk adhere to the picture.

Fifth grade students used pencil, erasers and a tightly rolled paper towel (to act as blending stump) to create value.
