The first thing we did this year was use traditional graphic design materials... paper, pencil, compos and ruler... to create a three inch square with a two and a half in circle inside of it.  Then we put our initials in the center circle. It was slow careful work.  A few days later, we did the same exercise using Illustrator CS2 and it was much easier to change positions and colors of objects.  Follow the link on the right to see our solutions.

We are just learning about the program right now, so we got to play with all of the tools and then use our faces as a masking layer so that our faces were defined by the designs we created..  Follow the link on the right to see our faces and designs.

We just finished our last project.  Using only vector objects and adjusting their strokes and fills, we had to create visual representations for six words: playful, congested, tension, positive and negative, pattern, and scale.  Follow the link on the right to see our solutions

Currently we are working on using Typography, specifically or names, using the format of a license plate that has " My name is "  at the top and  a set of words at the bottom.  Our job is to use only our name and illustrate the set of words.
