CNU-NASA EarthFest Art Contest and
Exhibit
EarthFest celebration is a free,
public event designed to inspire the community and inform them about
how they can participate in protecting the planet. There will be
children's activities, Earth Science educational activities, hourly
presentations, art displays, music, food, informing the public about
CNU's and NASA's Earth Science experts, Ask a Scientist panels and
exhibits from community groups that feature Earth friendly
information. It will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 from
10AM-4PM at Christopher Newport University and the Ferguson Arts
Center.
Students are encouraged to celebrate the Earth by submitting their
best original art or photographs that captures ideas about: energy
conservation, global climate change; going green, recycling and the
earth. The deadline is Monday, April 21, 2008.
