Role of the Instructional Technology Facilitator

Works with building administrators to determine instructional technology training needs of staff and to integrate these needs into the schools’ professional development plans.

Works with the Instructional Technology department at the YCSD School Board Office to develop and conduct appropriate professional development sessions related to the use of instructional software, applications, hardware, and related peripherals.

Meets regularly with instructional staff to plan and develop lessons supported by instructional technology.

Provides assistance with the appropriate integration of various technologies into daily instruction; develops and models lessons for teachers and students fully integrating curriculum and technology.

Provides technical expertise and assistance for all on-site productivity applications and instructional software.

Maintains archives of model lessons and products integrating technology into instruction.

Serves as the school’s Webmaster

Assists teachers with preparation for TSIP assessment.
