This is my first year at Tabb Middle School, and I am honored to join the TMS team. Although it is my first year at TMS, it is my 21st year of teaching. I graduated from Christopher Newport University in 1985 receiving a BA in Education, with an emphasis in middle school math and science. I later received an endorsement in Gifted Education from Shenandoah University. I have experience teaching all levels of middle school math, physical science, and language arts. In addition, I have experience in elementary education as a classroom teacher and gifted resource teacher, and have worked in both public and private school settings. My passion is teaching children in the interest of expanding their abilities, and turning them into life-long learners. I enjoy reaching each child at their particular level of learning, and I hope to be a positive influence on all children that I teach.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have two daughters that are former TMS Tigers and current Tabb High Tigers. GO TIGERS!
