Educational Technology Facilitator

This is my fifth year as an Educational Technology Facilitator (ETF) in
York County School Division, and my first year as Yorktown Middle
School's ETF. Previously, I worked as the ETF for Mount
Vernon and Tabb Elementary Schools Before this, I spent
several years as a classroom teacher, mostly working with fifth grade. I
have a Masters Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom and am
currently pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Policy, Planning and
Leadership. I am very excited to be a part of the Yorktown Middle School
team.
As an educator, my mission is to create a learning environment that is
non-threatening and challenging where students can actively participate.
My goal is to help students feel belonging and importance, encouraging
them to develop gifts and potential. They are part of a community of
learners which includes parents and school staff, as well as fellow
students. I do my best to employ strategies and use resources that will
encourage students to become problem solvers and life-long learners. As
a teacher, I model behavior that includes respect and care for self and
others. |
