New computers and state of the art software allow students to accomplish more than ever before.  Small class size, no larger than a 12, allows each teacher to offer individualized attention. Students continue to seek out the latest technologies which have separated YRA from other public schools in the area.  The demand for workplace readiness skills keeps YRA in the forefront as one of the places where businesses can look for dedicated young first time employees.

As one of only a few charter schools in Virginia, YRA is on the cutting edge of delivering instruction along with its innovative technologies.  Students participate in real life authentic assessments including creating Web sites for local businesses, delivering informational podcasts about current events, and conducting scientific research to ensure a healthy community.

If you want to see your high school child participate in a learning experience where technology makes a difference in the community, then consider YRA as an alternative to your traditional public school.  Call 898-0516 to make an appointment with Walt Cross, the principal, and fill out an application today.
