YCSD Receives National Award for Operating Budget

The York County School Division has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the US and Canada’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the Fiscal Year 2009 Operating Budget. The GFOA award is the highest form of recognition from the organization and is the only national awards program in governmental budgeting. To earn the award, YCSD satisfied nationally recognized guidelines to assess how well the budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communications device.
