York County Schools Recognized by Virginia Naturally

Four area schools have been recognized by the Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries, Virginia Naturally School Recognition Program. Coventry Elementary, Mt. Vernon Elementary, Seaford Elementary and Grafton Middle schools were among the 52 Virginia schools that were recognized for their efforts in supporting environmental conservation and stewardship for 2009. The schools were required to submit a plan, carry it through for the year, and then meet specific criteria to be recognized in years for their continued efforts. Coventry Elementary School and Mt. Vernon Elementary School have been recognized for five years each, Grafton Middle School for one year, and Seaford Elementary School for one year.
