Doug Roper, social studies teacher at Tabb High School (THS), uses technology to present his geography lessons to his ninth grade students. To reinforce the topics presented in class, Doug helps his students create and use their Quia accounts to access information to be used in class and later reviewed at home. He also utilizes the "Wallwisher" program as a way for students to participate electronically as a group in response to specific teacher posts and questions. Students enjoy the interactive lessons presented with the use of Smart Board technology. Incorporating new ways of presenting information helps hold student interest and promote learning.
