2012 Beautiful York County Calendar and Art Contest

Two eighth grade students at Grafton High School (GHS) were honored to have their work chosen for the 2012 Beautiful York County Calendar. Taylor Batte's collage was chosen for the cover of the York County Calendar by the York Beautification Committee. He used tissue paper, cardboard, cotton balls, magazines and newspaper to create his design. Michael Carpenter's collage was chosen for the month of September. He designed his using toothpicks, tissue paper, magazines and construction paper. The students were recognized at the award banquet held at the Freight Shed in Yorktown and each received a check for $100.
