Dare Dolphins Celebrate Read Across America Tech Style

Posted On: Friday, March 09, 2012
To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday and kick off Read Across America, Dare Elementary School (DES) students had Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R.) on Friday, March 2nd. During this time all students went into the hallways to read silently for about 15 minutes. Dare fifth graders had the opportunity during D.E.A.R. to explore the B.Y.O.T. (Bring Your Own Technology) initiative. BYOT, already implemented at the middle and high school levels, is a pilot program for YCSD fifth graders that began the first week of March. What would Dr. Seuss think about this?
