States of Matter with Tabb Elementary

Rising sixth graders from Tabb Elementary School (TES) recently visited the Jefferson Lab. They performed hands-on research into the states of matter. One of their favorite experiments was Oobleck, which they decided was neither a solid nor a liquid, but as their instructor told them a colloidal suspension. Another experiment fostered team work as the students designed and built boats.
