Accessibility
The York County School Division is committed to ensuring accessibility of its website for all individuals, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide an online environment that is easy to navigate and accessible to everyone, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Our Commitment
YCSD continually works to improve the accessibility and usability of our website by following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards, from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of abilities and assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice recognition software.
Ongoing Efforts
Our team regularly reviews web content and features to identify and correct potential accessibility barriers. We provide staff training and utilize accessibility tools and best practices to ensure new and existing content meets accessibility standards.
