Get Involved
When families, staff, students, and community members work together, we create stronger schools, expand opportunities for students, and help shape the future of York County.
You can make a difference in children’s lives
YCSD has a place for everyone to contribute, connect, and help support student success.
YFPE
The York Foundation for Public Education, Inc. (YFPE) is an independent non-profit organization that supports public education in York County by developing resources to encourage educational innovation, promote and recognize excellence, and address the needs of students, faculty and staff.
PTA/PTSA
Parent Teacher Associations and Parent Teacher Student Associations help enhance the educational experience for students and create opportunities for families to engage in school life through volunteerism, advocacy, events, and fundraising.
Whether you have a few hours to volunteer, a special skill to share, or simply want to stay informed and connected, your campus PTA offers meaningful ways to get involved.
Volunteer
YCSD welcomes community members who generously share their time and talents to make a difference in the lives of students every day. Whether you're supporting a classroom, helping at events, sharing your expertise, or lending a hand behind the scenes, your involvement helps create enriching experiences and strengthen our school communities.
Partners
Businesses, organizations, and community members can partner with schools to expand opportunities for students and support educational excellence. Together, we can create meaningful connections that enrich learning, strengthen our community, and prepare students to be Future Ready Graduates.
Advisory & Focus Committees
Your voice matters. YCSD offers opportunities for families, students, staff, and community members to participate in standing advisory committees or ad-hoc committees that provide feedback, explore important topics, and help inform decisions that support our schools and students.
Surveys & Feedback Opportunities
Not everyone can serve on a committee or volunteer regularly, but everyone has a voice. Surveys and online feedback opportunities provide a convenient way to share your thoughts, experiences, and ideas as we continue working together to support student success.
